MAVLink Message ID Sequence Dataset
1. INTRODUCTION
This dataset comprises MAVLink message IDs extracted from a UAV system environment. We filtered only MAVLink protocol packets from traffic from the UAV to the Ground Control Station (GCS) and extracted the message IDs from each packet. The dataset contains only sequences of message IDs stored in a NumPy array format.
The UAV flights were conducted in a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) simulation environment. We assigned missions to the UAV via QGroundControl. The UAV took off, followed predefined waypoints, and landed at the designated destination.
For the attack-free samples, we performed no attacks, capturing the packets while the UAV followed the waypoints after takeoff. For the attack samples, we executed attacks via an attacker's PC during the UAV's movement along the waypoints, capturing packets while the attacks were in progress. Therefore, all samples in the attack dataset were captured while the attack was actively occurring.
