Call For Papers
: ICONI 2011-SocGame - Social Game Analytics and Security

The 3rd International Conference on Internet (ICONI 2011) will be held on December 15-19, 2011, at Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas, Sepang(Malaysia). ICONI 2011 is the next event in the series of highly successful International Conference on Internet hosted by KSII and FTRA, previously held in Mactan Island, Philippines (2010) and Bali, Indonesia (2009).

There are four workshops (WS1 - Innovation in Computing Education, WS2 - Biomedical Information in Translation, WS3 - Language and Information Science, WS4 - Social Game Analytics and Security) for ICONI 2011 and WS4 will be mainly managed by Hacking and Countermeasure Research Lab., Korea University.

In the workshop WS4, we invite studies that include the theoretical and methodological underpinning of social psychology, social science, and computer science. The methodology encompasses social network analysis, community detection, data mining, and visualization on large-scale data from social games. Below we list a collection of possible social game research topics in respect of social interaction analytics and security.

Scope/Topics of this Workshop
  • Social Network Analysis in Game Community (Team Play, Trade, Socialization)
  • Game Community Detection and Visualization
  • Exploration of Avatars and Their Roles in Social Games
  • Diffusion Process in Social Games
  • Server Side Gold Farmer Detection
  • Identity Theft Detection
Given the significant growth of the social game industry, there is a critical need to publish a collection of novel research pieces to emphasize the importance of social game studies to researchers from various disciplines, and to identify challenges and opportunities for future work. The proposed workshop will meet this need.
